Installation Guide
- Clean & Prepare the Pipe Surface
- Mark the repair area.
- Use a rotary scraper to remove the oxidized layer.
- Clean the surface with approved PE wipes.
- Position the Repair Saddle
- Place the saddle directly over the damaged pipe area.
- Ensure the fusion zone fully covers the defect.
- Secure it with alignment clamps to avoid movement.
- Connect Fusion Terminals
- Attach the electrofusion machine leads to the saddle terminals.
- Scan or enter the fitting’s barcode parameters.
- Start the Electrofusion Process
- Begin the fusion cycle.
- Do not move or disturb the pipe during heating.
- Watch fusion indicators (if included) for correct expansion.
- Allow Full Cooling
- Keep clamps on until the recommended cooling time is complete.
- Do not pressure test, backfill, or stress the pipe before cooling.
- Inspect & Test
- Check the weld visually.
- Perform a pressure test according to project standards.
- If no leaks or deformation, return the pipeline to service.
